Boxed In (B & W Super 8 film, edited on video, January 1990, 7 minutes), reworks the
theme of depersonalization against experiences with corporate practices and the
effects of the work ethic in Ohio. Focusing on the idea of boxes--what we sleep on,
eat out of, cook in, store food in ("ice box"), watch images on ("idiot box"), and ultimately
are placed in after dying--Boxed In paints a barren inner landscape and dimly alludes to an
unacknowledged structuring within our lives.
